People & Business :: Emerging Companies Genomatica Files for IPO7:35 AM MDT | August 25, 2011 | Rebecca Coons Genomatica, a San Diego-based developer of sustainable chemicals, has filed with the SEC for an initial public offering (IPO) of up to $100 million. The number of shares offered and the price range of the offering have not been determined. Founded in 2000, the company has built momentum behind its 1,4-butanediol (BDO) production technology, signing joint venture deals with Mitsubishi Chemical and Novamont.
