DuPont JV Files Second Patent Suit Against Gevo

Butamax Advanced Biofuel (Wilmington, DE),  a joint venture formed between DuPont and BP, has filed a second patent infringement suit against isobutanol producer Gevo (Englewood, CO). According to Gevo, the new suit will be consolidated with the existing case. Isobutanol can also be used directly as a specialty chemical, as a gasoline blendstock, and as a raw material for the production of plastics, fibers, rubber and other polymers.
