Dow Wolff Cellulosics Takes Over Optim Sales and Marketing

Dow Wolff Cellulosics, a Dow Chemical business, took over the Optim synthetic glycerin operation from Dow’s Safechem (Düsseldorf) unit in August, the company told CW at the CPhI pharma ingredient exposition held earlier this month in Frankfurt (CW, Oct. 13/20, p. 28). The move is about three years after Dow shut one of two production facilities and gave up its reins over the business, Dow says. Workman: Focused on pharma customers.
