Ethylene XXI EPC contract goes to consortium led by Odebrecht, Technip

The Brazil-Mexico joint venture Braskem Idesa (Mexico City) has awarded a $2.7-billion E&C contract to a consortium of Odebrecht, Technip, and ICA Fluor for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) work on Ethylene XXI, a world-scale petrochemical complex slated to be online at Coatzacoalcos, Mexico in 2015.
