Tikkurila sales fall 7.4% in second quarter, EPS increases slightly

Paints and coatings company Tikkurila (Helsinki) says its profitability for the first half of 2014 was “good despite weak demand in Russia.” First-half revenue was €334.4 million ($449 million) compared with €346.7 million in first-half 2013, a fall of 3.6%. Operating profit (Ebit) excluding nonrecurring items was €45.3 million compared with €43.5 million a year ago.
