Symrise's first-quarter net profit up 7%

Symrise (Holzminden, Germany) reports net income of €46 million ($60.3 million) for the first quarter of 2013, an increase of almost 7% compared with the same quarter the year before. Ebitda rose by 5.7%, to €92.8 million, during the same reporting period. Meanwhile, sales in the first quarter rose to €457.6 million, from €432.6 million in the same quarter of 2012.
