Symrise posts 10% increase in sales, Ebitda

Symrise (Holzminden, Germany) says it has increased Ebitda 10%, to €290.2 million ($392 million) in the first nine months of 2013. Group sales rose 10%, to €1.4 billion, and Ebitda margin increased to 20.7%. Net income rose 11%, to €139.9 million, compared with €125.9 million for the year-ago period. Earnings per share rose to €1.18 compared with €1.07 a year ago. The company says that growth in emerging markets exceeded that of the group as a whole, with sales up 11% in local currency.
