People & Business :: Earnings/Finance Showa Denko’s chemicals and petrochemicals businesses report losses, lower sales8:46 AM MST | February 15, 2013 | Deepti Ramesh Showa Denko recorded a 44.8% fall in net profits for the full fiscal year, ended 31 December 2012, compared with 2011, to ¥9.36 billion ($101 million). Full-year sales decreased 13.4%, to ¥739.8 billion, largely because of lower sales in the company's petrochemicals business segment, Showa Denko says. Quarterly figures were not disclosed.
