Sasol reports rise in first-half profits and sales

Sasol reports a 4.84% rise in profits for its fiscal first-half ended 31 December 2013 compared with the year-ago period, to 13.2 billion rand ($1.22 billion). First-half sales increased 23%, to R98.3 billion. Sasol’s chemicals segment reports a 26.3% rise in first-half sales compared with the year-ago period, to R57.8 billion.
