S&P: Chemicals credit quality supported by economic growth

Moderate economic growth in North America is supporting credit ratings at US and Canadian chemicals companies, according to credit ratings service Standard & Poor’s (S&P; New York). S&P forecasts US gross domestic product (GDP) to grow by 2.65% year-on-year (YOY) during 2013, up from 2.2% growth in 2012.
