Rockwood sales up on surface treatment improvement

Rockwood Holdings today announced its fourth-quarter results—up on improved surface treatment and lithium, as well as lower interest expenses. However, net income of $14.8 million was down 47% year-over-year (YOY). Earnings per share of 20 cts were lower than the analyst consensus of 34 cts/share, according to Thomson Reuters (New York).
