PTT Global Chemical reports huge rise in profits

PTT Global Chemical (Bangkok), Thailand's largest integrated petrochemical and refining company, reported that net profits more than doubled for the third quarter, ended 30 September 2012, compared with the year-ago period, to 12.9 billion Thai baht ($420 million). Third-quarter sales increased 6%, to baht145.3 billion. Ebitda for the third quarter increased 50% compared with the year-ago period, to baht18.3 billion.
