I/n-butanol, i/n-butyl acetate, and i/n-butyraldehyde will all increase by €100 ($131)/m.t. in Europe, the Mideast, and Africa (EMEA). Also in EMEA, 2-ethyl hexanol will increase by €100/m.t. Solely in Europe, trimethylolpropane and neopentylglycol will increase by 100 €/m.t. All increases are due to tight supply, improved demand, and the need to secure material to cover its turnaround in May 2013, the company says.
