Excluding the impact of a $25/share special dividend paid during the quarter, earnings totaled $3.47/share, short of analysts' consensus of $4.11/share, as reported by Thomson Reuters (New York). Petroleum additives revenues, which encompass all of the company's chemicals sales, totaled $511.2 million, up 2.4% from the year-ago quarter.
