More Saudi Firms Report Results: Sahara Net Profits Plummet, Tasnee Flat, Ma'aden Up

Sahara Petrochemicals Co. reported second quarter net profits tumbling to SR54.32 million ($14.49 million) compared with SR209 million in the same period in 2011. Net profit was up 29%, however, compared with the first quarter of this year. Sahara reported an operating loss of SR13.23 million in the second quarter compared with a profit of SR135 million in the same period in 2011.
