Lower Polysilicon Prices Dent Wacker's Q2 Results

Wacker Chemie says that in the second quarter of 2012, it was unable to match the strong sales and profits figures of second-quarter 2011, due mainly to a substantial reduction in polysilicon prices. Sales and net profits decreased 7.8% and 57.5% year-over-year, to €1.22 billion ($1.48 billion) and €60.6 million, respectively.
