Indorama reports huge rise in second-quarter profits

Indorama Ventures (Bangkok) reports nearly a sevenfold increase in net profits for the second quarter of 2014 compared with the second quarter of 2013, to 1.48 billion baht ($46 million). Second-quarter sales increased 12.7%, to baht64.03 billion. In the first half of 2014, Indorama’s net profits more than doubled compared with the first half of 2013, to baht1.85 billion, and first-half sales increased 11.9%, to baht125.67 billion.
