ICL's Profits Soar on Higher Selling Prices

ICL reported second-quarter 2011 net income up 44%, to $426 million, on sales up 29%, to $1.9 billion helped by improved demand and selling prices across all businesses. Operating income jumped 41%, to $543 million. The fertilizers unit's operating income rose 37%, to $379 million, on sales up 34%, to $1.1 billion.
