High-performance polymers lift Ems Group's 2012 earnings

The Ems Group (Domat, Switzerland), a producer of high performance polymers and specialty chemicals, today announced its full-year 2012 results. The company’s net income rose 12.7%, to 273 million Swiss francs ($297.9 million), on sales 5.9% higher, at SF1.76 billion. Sales in local currencies rose by 4.9%. Ems attributes the improved results to a strong increase in net sales outside Europe.
