Evonik reports lower profits and revenues, expects slight improvement in 2014

Evonik Industries (Essen, Germany) today reported a 63% drop in fourth-quarter net income, to €103 million ($142.8 million), on sales of €3.14 billion. Sales in the corresponding period of last year were €3.18 billion. Adjusted fourth-quarter net income was 20% lower, at €127 million, while adjusted Ebitda was down 15%, at €386 million.
