European caprolactam margins come under pressure

European margins for caprolactam could swing back to a loss since fundamentals for May are expected to be unfavorable, IHS Chemical says in its latest Global Nylon Fibers & Feedstocks report. Attempts by one producer to raise prices and improve margins are being countered by sluggish demand and decisions by consumers to buy nylon polymer instead of caprolactam, IHS Chemical says.
