Emerging Markets Boost Air Liquide's Revenues

Air Liquide posted a 5% year-on-year increase in net profits for the first half of 2012, to €790 million ($968 million). Strong sales growth in emerging markets, particularly Central and Eastern Europe, South America, and the Middle East, enabled the company to generate a 3% increase in first-half sales on a comparable basis—excluding the impact of currency effects and natural gas prices—to €7.5 billion.
