Agrium's Earnings and Sales Soar

Agrium reported net earnings of $860 million for the second quarter 2012, up 20% from the year-ago quarter. Adjusted earnings exclude a pre-tax gain of $3 million on natural gas and other hedge positions and a pre-tax share-based payment expense of $9 million, growing 17% to $1.2 billion.
