Agrium results down on lower prices, retail segment up

Agrium announced weaker results for the fourth quarter due to lower prices across all segments and a nitrogen volume reduction, the company says. Net earnings were $99 million, down 72% year-over-year (YOY). Earnings per share of 66 cts/share dipped below analyst estimates of 86 cts/share, according to Thomson Reuters (New York).
