RPM earnings rise; segment results hit by contract investigation

RPM’s fiscal third-quarter net income rose 30.8% year-on-year (YOY), to $8.7 million, on sales up 9.1%, to $843.7 million. Earnings totaled 7 cts/share, beating analysts’ consensus estimate of 6 cts/share, as reported by Thomson Reuters (New York). RPM’s fiscal third-quarter ended on 28 February.
