People & Business :: Corporate Social Responsibility Study Finds Synthetic Chemicals in 99% of Pregnant Women in U.S. (with analysis)10:54 AM MST | January 18, 2011 | Alex Scott A study by researchers from the University of California (San Francisco), has found that 99% of pregnant women in the U.S. contain 43 hazardous chemicals – some of which are banned - in their bodies. In total, the researchers found 163 synthetic chemicals in the blood and urine of pregnant women. The full version of the study is published in the online edition of the journal Environmental Health Perspectives (EHP).
