Report: Industry’s Image Rises Slightly

The public’s image of the chemical industry’s ethics slightly improved last year, according to a ranking released this month by advocacy group Covalence (Geneva). The group, which says it aims to increase data on corporate sustainability practices, tracked the overall reputation of 18 companies. Last year, the industry ranked eight out of a total of 10 industrial sectors, outperforming oil and gas as well as pharmaceuticals.
