LCA Shows Huntsman Enzymatic Bleach is Greener

Huntsman and Genencor say Gentle Power Bleach (GPB), an enzymatic pre-bleaching technology for textiles codeveloped by the companies, uses significantly less water than conventional bleaching systems. If GPB was applied to the 26 million m.t. of cotton produced annually its use compared to standard bleaching systems would save 10 trillion liters of freshwater, the companies say.
