Houston Asks Oil and Chemical Firms to Volunteer in Benzene-Reduction Program

The City of Houston has asked major refiners and chemical makers in the area to participate in a voluntary benzene emission-reduction program, in hopes that facilities sign on to help the area reduce what the city says are dangerously high levels of benzene.
