EPA TRI Report Shows Slight Increase in 2005

EPA’s Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) report, released last month, shows that TRI releases rose 2.4% in 2005, the most recent year for which information is available. Total releases increased to 4.3 billion lbs, from 4.2 billion lbs, EPA says. This is the first rise in releases since 2000, it adds. “Annual changes are not unusual.
