ECHA Adds Acrylamide to Reach Candidate List

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) says it has added acrylamide to its list of 29 substances of very high concern (SVHC). SVHCs placed on the so called candidate list will be subject to further assessment under the Authorisation phase of the European Union’s (EU) Reach program.
