DuPont Says Invista Poached Nylon Resin Secrets

DuPont has filed a lawsuit against Koch Industries’ (Wichita, KS) subsidiary Invista, alleging that Invista is infringing on DuPont patents and has misappropriated trade secrets and proprietary information as part of an effort to enter the nylon engineering polymer market. The suit, filed in federal court for the Southern District of New York, stems from Koch’s 2004 acquisition of Invista from DuPont that included DuPont’s nylon and polyester textile, fibers and related intermediates.
