Westlake to Raise Dividend 150%

Westlake Chemical says it will increase its quarterly dividend to 18.75 cts/share, up more than 150%, from the 7.375 cts/share dividend paid in the second quarter. The dividend will be payable on September 12 to shareholders of record as of August 30.   Earlier this month, Westlake reported second-quarter net income of $115.5 million, or $1.72/share, up 42% year-on-year, mostly due to strong results in the company’s olefins...
