People & Business :: Companies Westlake increases ethylene and PVC capacity at Kentucky plant10:56 AM MDT | October 2, 2012 | Lindsay Frost Westlake Chemical says it is converting its Calvert City, KY ethylene plant from propane to ethane feedstock, as well as increasing ethylene capacity from 450 million lbs/year, to 630 million lbs/year. The company is also expanding its polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plant at Calvert City—adding about 200 million lbs/year to the existing 1.1 billion lbs/year of capacity.
