Wacker Records Lower Quarterly Profits, Full-Year Loss

Wacker Chemie reported fourth-quarter 2009 Ebitda of €90 million ($127 million), down from €118.7 million for the period one year earlier. Corresponding sales for the quarter were €935 million, down from €998.7 million one year earlier. The company recorded a net loss of €80 million for full-year 2009 on sales down 14%, to €3.7 billion compared with the previous year.
