Wacker Chemie will follow four global “megatrends” as part of its future development plans, says CEO Rudolf Staudigl. The trends are digitilization through Wacker’s wholly owned silicon wafer subsidiary Siltronic; renewable energy, under the company’s polysilicon segment; regional growth, particularly via Wacker’s silicones business; and resource saving via the company’s polymers operation.
