Verde Potash files permit for Brazilian potash project

Verde Potash (Toronto) says it has applied for a preliminary environmental permit, or licença prévia (LP), for its Minas Gerais, Brazil, Cerrado Verde potash project to meet further demand in Brazilian potash consumption. The company is also currently partaking in offtake negotiations with several parties for purchase of its granular potassium chloride (KCl) product, produced at the Cerrado Verde site, and is anticipating final agreements complete in second-quarter 2013.
