Syngenta reports higher first-half sales, ups investments

Syngenta, the leading global agricultural chemicals producer, today announced its first-half results and said it is on track to achieve sales of $25 billion in 2020, an increase of about 90% compared with 2012. The company is targeting eight crops with its combined offer of crop protection chemicals and seeds. In a presentation to journalists in Basel this morning, Mike Mack, CEO, said that the company delivered underlying integrated sales growth of 7% in the first half despite unfavorable weather conditions and late planting in the northern hemisphere...
