Strong Volumes and Selling Prices Lift Henkel's Adhesives Profits

 Henkel’s adhesives technologies business reported first-quarter 2011 operating profit up 32%, to €244 million ($363 million), on sales up 14%, to €1.9 billion. Organic growth rose 12%, “exceeding market development,” because of increased volumes and selling prices, Henkel says.  Operating profit jumped 32%, to €244 million, despite rising raw material and packaging costs, Henkel says.  Volumes rose across all businesses and regions.
