Strong Potash and Salt Demand Drive K+S's Earnings Growth

K+S (Kassel, Germany) reported third-quarter operating income of €108.5 million ($149 million), up from €9.4 million in the year-ago period. Sales jumped 52%, to €1.1 billion because of strong fertilizer and salt demand.
