Strong Fertilizer Margins Boost Yara's Third-Quarter Results

Yara International posted big increases in earnings and sales for the third quarter of 2011, compared with the same period of 2010, as margins improved across the company's businesses. Net profits soared 85%, to NK3.6 billion on sales up 28%, to NK21.2 billion. Operating profits more than tripled, to NK4.4 billion and Ebitda excluding special items jumped 66%, to NK4.2 billion.
