Solvay to close sodium percarbonate plant in UK

Solvay says it has decided to cease production of sodium percarbonate (SPC) products at Warrington, UK by the end of next month. The Warrington site will focus on extending its portfolio of hydrogen peroxide grades following the closure. Solvay will continue to serve customers from its SPC plants at Rosignano, Italy; and Bad Hönningen, Germany. The Bad Hönningen SPC unit is Solvay's biggest, and customers in the United Kingdom will receive product mainly from this unit, Solvay says.
