Siam Cement to Study the Impact of its Chemical Plants on Health of Local Residents

Siam Cement Group (SCG; Bangkok) says its SCG Chemicals subsidiary will conduct a health impact assessment (HIA) of residents living in the vicinity of the RIL Industrial Estate at Map Ta Phut, Rayong Province, Thailand, where SCG Chemicals’ manufacturing plants are located. The study will be carried out in cooperation with Burapha University (Bangsaen, Thailand), the Rayong provincial administration, the Map Ta Phut municipality, and the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (Bangkok).
