People & Business :: Companies Sherwin-Williams Earnings Beat Estimates9:58 AM MST | January 26, 2010 | Vincent Valk Sherwin-Williams today reported fourth-quarter 2009 pro forma earnings of 71 cts/share, besting the analyst consensus of 52 cts/share. The company's income on the quarter totaled $65.3 million, up from $50.2 million in the fourth-quarter of 2008. Sales were about $1.6 billion, a 5.9% drop from the fourth-quarter of 2008. The company attributed the sales decline weak paint volumes. For the full-year 2009, sales totaled $7.09 billion, an 11.1% decline from 2008.
