People & Business :: Companies Saudi Kayan, Maaden Place Plant Orders with Daelim Industrial9:27 AM MST | December 29, 2009 | Natasha Alperowicz Saudi Kayan, a subsidiary of Sabic, has signed a letter of intent with Daelim Industrial Co. (Seoul) for the construction of a low-density polyeththylene (LDPE) plant at Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The plant will be designed to produce 300,000 m.t./year of LDPE using LyondellBasell's technology. Kayan earlier this year terminated a contract for the plant with Simon Carves, citing high engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) costs.
