People & Business :: Companies Sasol inaugurates LAN granulation plant in South Africa12:17 PM MDT | October 25, 2012 | Sotirios Frantzanas Sasol has inaugurated its limestone ammonium nitrate (LAN) granulation plant at Secunda, South Africa. The company invested 1 billion South African rand ($115 million) in the plant, which that has a production capacity of 400,000 m.t./year and was designed to improve quality of LAN fertilizer granules produced using the latest energy-efficiency and waste-minimization technologies, Sasol says. Granules produced by the plant have harder physical properties, enhancing shelf life and narrowing particle size distribution. These product qualities improve planter dosing...
