People & Business :: Companies Sabic Forms Specialties SBU;Targets Second Slot in Polyolefins2:05 PM MDT | August 8, 2007 | Natasha Alperowicz Sabic says it has established a strategic business unit (SBU), specialty products, which will produce “new, high-value special derivatives.” The move forms part of Sabic’s plans to establish itself as a major player in specialty chemicals. Specialty products is Sabic’s sixth SBU. The other five are basic chemicals, intermediates, polymers, fertilizers, and metals.
