People & Business :: Companies SAFC Injects $30 Million to Build Pharma Ingredients Capacity6:54 AM MDT | September 4, 2008 | Alex Scott in Lyon, France Sigma Aldrich Fine Chemicals (SAFC; St Louis, MO) today announced plans to invest almost $30 million to build manufacturing capacity for high-potency active pharmaceutical ingredients (HPAPI) at the company's complex at Madison, WI. The investment follows recent completion of a $15-million HPAPI capacity expansion at the site. The latest expansion program will increase capacity at the site by “substantially more than 20%,” Michael Harris, v.p./sales and production for SAFC in Europe told journalists at a briefing held by the company in Lyon, France...
