People & Business :: Companies S&P: Chemicals Sector Ratings Actions to Remain Favorable10:29 AM MDT | October 20, 2010 | Vincent Valk Chemicals sector credit rating upgrades have outpaced downgrades so far in 2010, a trend that is very likely to continue, according to Standard & Poor's (S&P; New York) third-quarter report on credit quality in the sector. S&P raised ratings on eight chemical companies during the third-quarter and lowered ratings on none. The eight were speculative-grade Terra, Ferro, Invista, ISP Chemco, Rockwood, Huntsman and PolyOne, and investment-grade Cytec. Outlooks are generally stable or positive, S&P says.
