Rohm and Haas Accelerates Restructuring Amid U.S. Weakness

Rohm and Haas (R&H) says it will cut about 925 jobs, 6% of its workforce, to restore profitability in its North American chemical business. R&H says it will reduce 30% of installed capacity in its emulsions network in North America, cut overhead costs in its specialty materials group, and shift more infrastructure for its electronic materials to Asia.
